A rustic family venue

Located at the south of Paris, in a quiet and rural environment, 6 miles from Gien, Le Petit Valot, often described by its guests as an intimate family venue, is the perfect place for a wonderful wedding reception.

This former farmhouse surrounded by woods and meadows features a splendid barn, with apparent beams and stones. It can host a sit-down dinner for up to 170 guests. The 3 houses fully restored and decorated in the spirit of winter cabins offer 13 bedrooms, which can sleep up to 40 guests.

Outside, you will be able to enjoy the pool, surrounded by a large terrace with deckchairs, market umbrellas and sofas. There is also an area that has been specifically designed for symbolic ceremonies; it has wooden benches and a canopy. The stretch tent that is set up will be ideal if you need your drinks reception to be covered.

If you are getting married in the winter, the warm interiors of this venue will be perfect in order to create a magical Christmas-like atmosphere, as if you were in the mountains but 2 hours from Paris. Close your eyes and imagine the domain styled with tea-lights, folds of fabric, and faux furs.... Can you hear the fire crackling in the fireplace?

Winters have lovely sunny days, and if your guests are wrapped up warmly, an outdoor ceremony or an outdoor drinks reception will be even more original, and will leave you with memorable photos.

The Caquetoire House

The Caquetoire house is located right by the swimming pool. It has one suite and 4 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room with a bar, and a side room that can be turned into a hair and make-up station. In the summer, you will be able to enjoy the coolness within the old walls of the house, while in the winter the fireplace will be an ideal meeting spot.

The Tower House

The Tower house has 3 bedrooms on the same level and a kitchen/dining room area. It is perfect for a family or a small group of friends.

The Bergerie house is located next to the reception room, and it has: 4 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, one of which is accessible in a wheelchair, and a small kitchen area.

The reception room

Located in the middle of the domain, the reception room can host a sit-down dinner with up to 170 guests. This former barn with apparent beams has been fully equipped in order for you to throw a once in a lifetime event.

The Caquetoire rooms

The dining room with a bar, and the adjacent side room in the Caquetoire house can be used as a drinks reception area for up to 100 guests, in a standing up configuration. In the side room, you can enjoy a glass of wine on the sofa, and why not start a game of foosball or darts with your friends...

The stretch tent is 472ft2 and fits perfectly with the natural setting of Le Petit Valot. It will bring a hint of “country chic” to your wedding. Whether rain or shine, it will be the ideal location for a drinks reception.

Aubigny-sur-Nère

Aubigny-sur-Nère is a historical location for the Auld Alliance, which linked together France and Scotland in 1295 against England. During this alliance, King Charles VII rewarded the courage of Lord John Stuart of Darnley and offered him the lordship of Aubigny-sur-Nère. The town remained Scottish owned for almost 250 years. This might be the reason why its atmosphere is so peculiar.

Briare et son Canal

One of the main attractions of the region is the Briare canal. Located only 15 minutes from the domain, it is one of the oldest canals in France. It first became navigable in 1642, between the towns of Briare and Montargis. The Briare canal bridge, built by the Eiffel company between 1890 and 1896, is a jewel of the French fluvial heritage.

Located 7 minutes from the Petit Valot, Gien is a lovely town on the Loire river, with a rich historical heritage. You might have heard of the famous the Gien pottery works. Gien is also famous for its gastronomy such as the Côteaux-du-giennois wine which will pair perfectly with the local crottin de Chavignol goat cheese.
